If the TSA had listened to Peter W. Harris, president of Yankee Foxtrot, Inc., they would not be dealing with today's headlines. A gay interior designer from San Francisco, named Percy Cummings would have been spared terrible humiliation.
Mr. Harris, in his white paper, "Frontal Pat Downs - It’s Getting Personal", offers a series of adjustments to fine tune TSA procedure, which would certainly have averted numerous public embarasments, like the one suffered by Mr. Cummings.
